A heady nose of white flowers, buttered popcorn and orange marmalade.  Swirling brings up light toast, brioche, ripe white peach and citrus.  The palate is rich with great volume and a hint of white currant.  This is a more forward, full-throttle style.

2015 Rosé
Painted Hills Vineyard
Yakima Valley $19

Ripe peaches with strawberry-rhubarb purée.  Swirling brings up berries and cream with a hint of balsamic.  Plush, rich and deliciously drinkable.

2014 Red Blend
Syrah, Grenache, Mourvèdre
Columbia Valley $25

Brooding nose of black cherry, blackberry, plum, cured meat, tobacco and black pepper.  Rich savory and mineral notes from the Syrah lead way on the mouthfeel, Grenache adds roundness and fruit sweetness to the mid-palate. The finish is bright and spicy due to the Mourvèdre.  This is hard to put down now but should cellar well for years to come.

2014 Mourvèdre
Boushey Vineyard
Yakima Valley $40

Intoxicating nose of high-toned herbs, lavender, raspberries, blackberries, sandalwood and saline.  Swirling brings up cured meat slathered with a berry gastrique and spice.  The mouthfeel is sweet and savory with glycerin and bitter herbs.  This wine is staggeringly smooth and will be fascinating to try over the next 5-8 years.

2013 Syrah
Art den Hoed Vineyard
Yakima Valley $40

Black cherries and spice, mixed with red hard candies and cola. Energetic and polished on the palate. This is a fresher version of Washington State Syrah providing great pairing flexibility.

2013 Syrah
Lawrence Vineyard

Dark and brooding, with plum skin and confitured dark berries and licorice. A hint of savory herbs and a pleasing salinity provide great complexity. The palate is ripe and round with soft tannins and a lively acid laced finish.
